If we eventually develop the technology to travel great distances in space within a short amount of time, would it be possible to travel out of our solar system (having to go through the Kuiper Belt) without some form of shielding technology (i.e. force field). Because I don’t think there is any metal strong enough to armor a spacecraft from micrometeorits and other dangers.
