Fact supported ultimate question…?

The Earth is around 4.5 billion years old. Intelligent man has been looking at the stars for approx 5,000 years (Different levels of intelligence starting with basic and evolving to present day standards..)

Now…. The Universe is approx 13 – 15 billion years old (That we know of..)

Assuming that life is commonplace throughout the Universe (Based on it happened here… It can happen elsewhere..). That would give other civilizations a 10 billion year head start on us – hence, 10 billion years of further technical advancement…

Yet no message.. No signal.. No calling cards.. No nothing!

So… The facts are these:

No structures discovered on Earth that support an alien race visited us.

No signals picked up from space detecting intelligent transmissions.

This would suggest two things to me. The first being that the distances between planets and solar systems is so great, that any chance of communication, even by basic radio signals is a none starter, and as the Universe expands, all advances in technology is further diminished?

Secondly – We are truly alone in the vastness of deep space. As all known facts currently point to no other lifeforms in the cosmos. Maybe we are the first planet to evolve with living, breathing life??

Either way… If any of my two theories are correct, we are destined to spend our time as a civilization alone. Maybe it is mankind’s destiny to seed the heavens? Maybe mankind will die out as every other prominent species has before it?

The ultimate question – Is man alone?

My answer – Yes, and always will be.

Do you agree?
